Hero Motors announces sponsoring Narain Karthikeyan and his Formula One team for the maiden Indian Grand Prix

New Delhi, September 02, 2011; Hero Motors Limited, India’s one of the largest & fastest growing business conglomerates with diversified business verticals announces association with ace F1 driver Narain Karthikeyan and his Formula One team. Hero Motors will be sponsoring Narain Karthikeyan and his team for the inaugural Formula One Grand Prix to be held in India in October this year.  Hero Motors agrees to display its logo on Narain’s racing car in the Grand Prix as a token of its strong association with the event.

The Indian Grand Prix will be held in Greater Noida, India from October 28th – 30th October 2011.

Narain Karthikeyan

Narain Karthikeyan is the first Formula One motor racing driver from India. After leaving Formula One in 2007, having experienced spells as a driver for Jordan Grand Prix (2005) and as a test driver for Williams F1 (2006-07), Narain competed in various international motorsport competitions. He represented Team India in A1GP where he won two races in 2007 and also raced for the prestigious Kolles Audi Team at the Le Mans Series and Le Mans 24 Hours becoming the first ever Indian to take part in this legendary event. Now he joins HRT as he embarks on a new journey in Formula One.
